Important Information About Sunset Binaries
With the release of ZCS 5.0, some server operating systems supported in ZCS 4.5.x have been sunset. Current ZCS users should be aware they may need to use a new server version / operating system if they wish to upgrade to ZCS 5.0.
Below is the list of sunset binaries:
Binaries no longer available
- Mac OS X for PPC (x86 still available)
- Mandriva 2006 (Open Source Edition)
Sunset binaries with an upgrade path to a newer server version
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and OpenSUSE 10 (Network Edition) --> use SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (Open Source Edition) --> use SUSE Linux Enterprise 10
- OpenSUSE 10 (Open Source Editon) --> use OpenSUSE 10.2
- Fedora Core 4 (Open Source Edition) --> use Fedora Core 7
- Fedora Core 5 (Open Source Edition) --> use Fedora Core 7
- Debian 3.1 (Open Source Edition) --> use Debian 4
You MUST update the server OS on 4.5.x before you begin the upgrade to ZCS 5.0. To do this you must first upgrade from 4.5.x to 4.5.10 (which has the current server OS) and THEN you can safely run an upgrade to ZCS 5.0. Not doing so will fail the install.
